Advice for New Models - Please read FULLY before registering!
General
Hi, these are some tips garnered during my 5 years of promoting AWE (and other) webcams. they are designed to maximise your earnings and make earning as trouble free as possible. The thing about AWE is that though the rate per minute is slightly lower than some cam sites, you will end up making a lot more money because the volume of customers is comparatively HUGE due to the massive base of websites that carry LiveJasmin and other AWE adverts.Because of this at peak periods there can be 1600 performers or more online and you are competing with them for attention. This is easier than it may seem, because many of the performers are not very clever, and do not have very good advice on setting up. The clever ones are earning £3000 - £6000 a month! These tips are aimed at making you a clever performer.
Performers are automatically promoted on thousands of sites like Sexcam0 and of course www.dare69.com across the web.
Planning
Write down several different performer names in case the one you like is taken. It is a good idea to begin the name with a zero or double zero because this means that on review sites where performers are presented in alphabetical order you will be near the top so forget about zebedee, zara, and zamba, however 00Aardvark does not present the right image - its hardly seductive! The most popular girls do not have human names... descriptive names like 00ASexyGirl, 00Kitten, or 00BigBoobs and so on seem to do better than 00Shelley or 00Anna. With some effort you can also make your name look good - 00oHotStuffo00 for example though this probably wont have much impact.
Profile Pictures
Remember that the MAIN profile picture will be shown all over the web so if you are sensitive about your face being shown then use a good body shot. Here is a good set of profile pictures:
The main profile picture (the big one) is the one people see in promotion images on websites such as this:
Note how some pictures stand out - these are the ones that have bright coloured backgrounds or bright coloured high spots (like the red gloves and stockings in the main pic of the sample profile pics) and are not 'washed out' webcam pics. Get a friend with a digital cam to take some good pics or use a tripod and a camera with a self-timer to take your own. Your main pic should be unedited (you can crop it but dont try to improve it in photoshop) have a bright red, yellow, orange, shocking pink, or electric blue background. Why these colours? Because not many websites will use them as background colours.
To be successful your remaining profile pics should include one bare breast shot, one facial shot, one full body shot and one rear end shot. Remember many people will decide whether or not to pay for your time on the basis of these pictures.

Not many people on the main site look at this but its worthwhile making sure everything is filled in because many promotional sites use this info for reviews of models.
Teaser Video
If you are not in free chat then this is shown to people instead of your live cam feed. There are many appalling teaser videos on the site, many of which consist of a girl staring at the camera and pecking at an off screen keyboard before picking her nose, scratching her armpit or whatever (I kid you not). A good teaser video will get you onto somebodies favourites list for a visit later when you are in free chat. A bad one will simply make people click away.Note: these sample videos will take a while to load!

Trawling Technique
If you go to www.livejasmin.com and click 'Girl' (link near top left) to see who is online then you will notice if you hover the mouse over a girl who is in freechat you get LIVE video of the performer. This is how most users browse the pages, so a multi-step approach to getting private shows has become very successful. If the girl is in Private or Members chat then you get her teaser video - hence the importance of these!In Freechat be active, dance strip a little (but without showing anything), change your outfit, be playful, seductive and so on until you have attracted a crowd. Then work the crowd looking for the customer who will pay for your services. Generally have fun with the customers and sooner or later one of them (often the guy who is not saying anything in the room) will click on Private and make you money.
If you are inexperienced and do not know what to do in a show then a good way of finding out what really happens is to join up yourself and pay for a private show from a cam performer who knows what they are doing (see below).
When the customers tail off then start the process again. Remember there are hundreds of fresh fish every minute in the AWE pond.
Somebody who is good at this will achieve about a 50% free/ 50% paid ratio and be earning for 30 minutes in the hour. If you are charging $2.99 a minute and on a 55% rate then this is about US$49 an hour or £32 an hour. Working 6 hours a day this would earn you £960 a week in a 5 day week (many models work 7 days). After you have your first paycheck improve your technique. The best way of doing this is by joining Livejasmin yourself (you can do that now right here !) and find some high earning girls (the 69's Team) and book a show with one or two... take notes! Look at what they do in freechat and private which is different from you, what techniques do they use to keep you online with them for longer and so on. Dont just sit there with your mouth open!
Promoting Yourself
Find sites that promote AWE Models by doing reviews, by using a google search like this one, or by joining the dicussion board at http://board.awempire.com, write your own review of yourself, and send it to the webmaster of the site together with a couple of unique pics nobody else has. Ask to have the pictures linked to your profile or Freechat link. If you have a site (see below) then ask for a link to there as well.Join up as a webmaster as well (see the linked image below) and start your own website promoting just yourself and maybe a few other models as well, or and recruiting other models.
